Some folks are just hands on learners… so this year we will bring back the highly popular and more intimate in size, hands on workshops!
These are ADDITIONAL PRE-CONFERENCE workshops. These workshops have an additional cost for supplies that are not included in the main conference price. These sessions do fill quickly and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Many of you requested to do two. Unfortunately due to the length required for some of the more intensive projects, you will only be able to pick one of the first three choices, but then catch the 3:30 sign workshop too.

One of our most popular workshops is back. Join the incredibly talented Deanna from DJ Hart Designs for an afternoon for crafting and fun.
Deanna is DIY crafter, master furniture restorer and all around gifted craftsman (woman ;)) You will spend small group time with her as she walks you through making these three fun projects just in time for your Holiday decorating. Tabletop risers are super versatile and fit any decor style. They provide the perfect base for these super fun bead garlands and this adorable reclaimed lumber chapel.
With her hands on mentoring, you will create with Deanne’s unique touch and be encouraged to craft and create in your own home.
Your class fee pays for all the supplies and tools needed to make the riser, chapel and beads.
Check out all that Deanna does at her site and follow her on Facebook. She is a wealth of talent and information.

2. Hands on- Furniture Painting Workshop
This has been postponed for a separate February 2021 Date. So sorry.
“Bring Your Own Piece of Furniture” Painting Makeover – $40
The best way to makeover a great (or maybe not so great!) piece of furniture is with PAINT!
Do not be afraid to attack that old wood hutch left to you by a relative. You can do it! Learn how to go home and transform your home with the power of paint!! (Have you seen my (Jen’s) house? This is a skill you’ll forever use.
In this workshop you will bring your own small piece of furniture – chair, side table or even a few large picture frames and complete a top to bottom makeover using Shabby Paint furniture paint and Vax (yes, we’ll explain this).
Don’t worry about any timely prep work on your piece because you won’t need it, but we do ask that you come with it cleaned before class!
Your instructor is knowledgeable and will teach you all about the proper techniques to quickly and easily apply Paint, top coats and stencils to your pieces. She will teach you all the tools you need to go home and do this yourself.
You will leave with a completely new to you piece with lots of tips on your future projects. This is a skill you want to learn because you can renovate your house with a little furniture painting knowledge.
One rule…if you can’t carry your side table in by yourself, it’s probably too big. We also request that you kindly leave your best cashmere in your suitcase for this class too!
We will provide all paint and materials, you just bring the furniture!
Ready to get started? Trust me, it’s addicting. 🙂 Sign up here.
